ZOCHEM RECOGNIZED FOR PLANT SAFETY RECORD WITH AWARDS

Dickson, TN – Zochem, a leading manufacturer of zinc oxide powder and pellets, announced that it has been recognized by the Association for Rubber Products Manufacturers (ARPM) with its “Gold Safety Award” for plant safety.  In addition, the State of Tennessee has awarded Zochem the Tennessee Governor’s Award for Safety. Each year, Tennessee awards 10-15 companies (less than 1% of the total) with a Governor’s Award of Excellence for Safety.

ARPM recognized its 2019 Safety Award winners at its Environmental Health and Safety Summit held July 18 in Columbus, Ohio. The summit is intended to provide rubber industry manufacturing executives with insights into best practices for safe, healthy work environments through speaker presentations and roundtable discussions. Receiving Gold Safety Awards for “Safety Performance Achievement Above the Industry Average” were Zochem facilities in Dickson, Tenn and Brampton, Ontario. The Dickson facility has recorded five years without an OSHA recordable injury, and the Brampton plant is approaching eight years of accident-free operation.
