Dickson, TN – Zochem, a leading North American manufacturer of zinc oxide powder and pellets, announced that for the second consecutive year, it has been recognized by the Association for Rubber Products Manufacturers (ARPM) with its “Gold Safety Award” for plant safety.

The prestigious Safety Awards Program recognizes safety in the rubber manufacturing industry by facilities that have achieved a level of safety performance above the industry average. Awards are based on data reported on a company’s annual OSHA 300 Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses. “Zochem South” in Dickson, TN won the Gold Safety Award, with an Honorable Mention Award going to “Zochem North in Brampton, ON.”

ARPM’s Environmental Health and Safety Summit is an annual event designed to share “best leadership and safety practices” with industry professionals hoping to achieve world-class safety within their companies. The Dickson facility has recorded six years without an OSHA recordable injury, and the Brampton plant is approaching nine years of zero lost-time injuries.
