Zochem tee’s off in support of families living in need.

Always ready to help with a good cause, Zochem was a sponsor of a golf tournament to support “Teeing off for a Miracle,” a fundraiser for the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation (TJSF) in the Greater Toronto Area.  Zochem attendees were (pictured) Plant Manager Shahram Mehdian and Maintenance Supervisor Juvenal Wachira.

Proceeds from the golf tournament will go towards the purchase of toys, food, and life essentials in support of families living in need throughout the Region of Halton; the purchase of toys for children admitted over the holidays at SickKids and McMaster Children’s Hospital; and supporting local public school initiatives such as mental health, nutrition, inclusive classrooms, literacy, and more. An objective of Miracle on Main Street is to promote inclusion and the spirit of giving among all faiths during the Christmas holiday season, whether celebrated religiously or socially as a festive time of year. Sickness and poverty do not discriminate; neither should the spirit of giving.

Zochem President and C.E.O. Mo Sharma shared ”we take off our hats to the Tiger Jeet Foundation for prioritizing those in need within our communities throughout the entire year.  We hope to be a part of the Miracle on Main for years to come.”

While this was the 7th annual event, this one was special because it was the first in two years due to Covid restrictions. The event is in support of @haltonpolice and TJSF’s 14th annual ‘Miracle on Main Street’ toy drive charity event scheduled to take place in December 2022. Proceeds from the golf tournament will go towards the purchase of toys, food, and life essentials in support of families living in need; the purchase of toys for children admitted over the holidays at SickKids and McMaster Children’s Hospital; and supporting local public school initiatives such as mental health, nutrition, inclusive classrooms, and literacy.
