Meet Edward Li, a dedicated technician in Zochem’s Maintenance Department who has been part of the company for over 15 years. Known for his professionalism, work ethic, and attention to detail, Ed has garnered praise from departments at all levels of the organization.

In addition to his work at Zochem, Edward dedicates his spare time to organizing large-scale community activities that showcase Canada’s multiculturalism. In 2008, Edward spearheaded the Canadian National Wenchuan Earthquake Relief Committee in response to the devastating earthquake in his hometown that claimed over 80,000 lives. Through charity events and donations, Edward and the committee raised over one million Canadian dollars, providing much-needed relief to those affected by the disaster. Not content with just one successful relief effort, Edward also organized the Canadian Ya’an Earthquake Disaster Relief Activity in 2013, raising over $60,000 for the cause.

Edward’s passion for sports is also evident through his founding of the annual Panda Cup Table Tennis International Tournament. The tournament, which attracts both professional and amateur athletes from all over the world, has become a major event in the Canadian table tennis community.
Outside of his professional and community efforts, Edward also enjoys playing sports himself. He has captained both the Sichuan Guanghua Badminton Team and the Sichuan Volleyball Team in Canada, earning championships and runner-up accolades in the Canadian Chinese Association competitions.
Edward’s contributions to both his community and Canada as a whole have not gone unnoticed. At his wife’s birthday party in 2023, Edward was honored to receive birthday wishes from Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada. We at Zochem are proud to have such a committed and admirable team member like Edward on board.
